Message from Pres. Bongbong Marcos is celebrating Rizal Day today

BONGBONG MARCOS – The 65-year-old President delivered a message celebrating the 126th Rizal Day in the Philippines today, December 30, 2022.

The Philippines has several heroes whose memory and legacy is commemorated each year. They fought for the freedom of the Filipino people and the country from colonizers. Some of them fought with weapons then, while there are some who fought with pen and words. They all risked their lives to liberate the country.

One of those who used his writings to fight for the country’s freedom from colonizers was Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines. He died on December 30, 1896 at the hands of the Spanish army.

Today the country commemorates the 126th anniversary of the death of Dr. Jose Rizal. Based on a report by ABS-CBN News, Pres. Bongbong Marcos led the flag ceremony at Rizal Park and presented a wreath of flowers.
