(Eagle News) – A panel of the Nominations Committee on Tuesday, December 13, recommended confirming the appointment of Jaime Bautista as transport chief.
The CA Committee on Transportation sought approval after delaying a scheduled appointment hearing last week due to time constraints.
It was Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri who lobbied for the endorsement after vouching for Bautista’s competence.
Bautista served as Chief Operating Officer and President of Philippine Airlines.
In June he was appointed DOTr Chief by President Bongbong Marcos.
Zubiri’s motion was supported by other members of the panel.
